Hiring
The City of Yreka is an equal opportunity employer. We consider applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, age, disability, marital or veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status. Proof of citizenship or immigration status will be required upon employment.
Employment Opportunities
Employment opportunities for the City of Yreka are overseen by the Administration, Human Resources and Finance departments at City Hall. Our goal is to attract motivated and skilled employees with competitive salaries and wages and a comprehensive benefit package. However, due to the small size of our city and staff, permanent positions are not commonly available. On the other hand, seasonal and temporary positions may be available in the summer or winter months.
Applications
Applications are only accepted when there is an open position, at which time applications are collected through the City of Yreka Career Portal and an interview schedule is set for the most qualified applicants. Our goal is to eliminate any hiring bias and find the most qualified candidate for the position.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
EAP is a free program for employees and family members. It offers confidential assistance with the management of life stresses, challenges and quality of life. For more information on the services offered and how to contact the EAP, please view the EAP Brochure (PDF).
