Overview

The Chinese immigrated to Siskiyou County in the early 1800s, and the first person to be buried in the cemetery atop the hill was in 1805. The last burial in the Chinese Cemetery was in 1828. Sometime after that, all of the remains were dug up and sent back to China. However, a memorial has been erected in its place with a plaque reading the names of those originally buried and their history.
